I have now registered DL9BS in one of the world’s largest HAM Radio Operator’s Address Book.
Depending on the subscription level it provides services like e.g. the logbook for easy tracking of your ham interactions with others.

Feels like a week since Corinna and Rainer from SY Geronimo arrived here in Puerto Calero but actually it is only a few days. Not sure what that tells me but its nice to catch up and spend some quality time together.
One of the million subjects is a Hydrogenerator as we all need to think more green. You can see the SailingGen, one of the models in this market. It is now under order and soon SY Hullu Poro will not only shine with a Hydrovane but also a Hydrogen at its stern to support batterie charge on its max during upcoming longer passages.
Keeping this blog alive once under sail needs power! 😉

Although I have not finished the book yet, it offers an interesting mixture of entertainment and education with a pinch of philosophical moments.
There is good inspiration and balance to understand the seriousness of sailing oceans.

The bow thruster started playing games with me in Santa Cruz. It was basically dead. As it is the most powerful 12V system we have on board – drawing 650A while in operation – I have highest respect on the same.
My investigation now revealed that simply a cable has fallen off the connector plug towards the controller sitting underneath the relays. The cable lug was still inside the plug and hard to get out but the bare cable hanging next to it. With the help and good advice from Ulli (SY Christina) we managed to reconnect and got the system back alive.
One less on the list! ✅

PS: Upon arrival in Puerto Calero I got great support from the “marineros”, who helped me to secure the boat safely at the pontoon. Manouvering without the bow thruster is a chapter in itself…
I have seen plenty of fish here in the marina but this sting (?) ray caught my eyes first time cruising along and saying hello. Hope it will not turn up next time I check the propeller.😅
