It is indeed damned hot but stress?!? Lucky we got aircon onboard and a nice big swimming pool at the stern of the boat, both keeping stress wihtin limits. 😎

This photo was taken today by Johannes at KM 86 in the Kiel Canal. Johannes is the head of the TO Rolling Home Team and he is just returning with his SY Magic Cloud to Kiel from Cuxhaven, where he got awarded the TO Ocean Award. Congratulation! I also received this wonderfull photo and “Fair Winds and Following Seas” for my journey while the ships were passing along.

2nd last lock before Panama

Within the barefoot sailor community, there is a saying, that the upcoming lock in Brunsbüttel is the last lock before Panama Canal. In turn, today I passed the 2 last lock before Panama. While saying that, it‘s more an expression as only minority of sailors make it that far. We do not carry the courtesy flag of Panama on SY Hullu Poro.

Anchoring opposite of the locks and observed its operation during the day while listening to lock control station on VHF Radio. Tomorrow we will enter Kiel Canal.
